January

“Scent, symbol, dance and song which revolve around the rhythms of light and dark, sun, and moon, move us out of linear time into magical time. Weaving our joys and sorrows into this web renders our human experience holy and places it alongside the daily miracles of sunrise and sunset. Glimpsed through the eyes of ritual, the winter season is a sacred, beauteous time that allows us to touch our own holy, interior ground of being. Awaiting the twilight in stillness, we open to the possibility of joining with this moment, of feeling the waxing and waning light with our very bodies, kinectically discovering just how closely knit we are to these wild, natural cycles. Our very bones remember and yearn toward them, for when we align ourselves with the elemental rhythms, we feel fulfilled and connected to an immensely soulful source.”
